The Armenian delegation of ''Junior Eurovision 2012'' leaves for Amsterdam

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian delegation of the international TV contest "Junior Eurovision 2012" leaves for Amsterdam early in the morning on November 26. The responsible for the "Eurovision" project of the Public Television Gohar Gasparyan informed “Armenpress” that besides Compass band representing Armenia in the aforesaid contest representatives of the Public Television and friends and relatives of the members of the band are involved in the Armenian delegation.

All the four members of the band - Davit Paronikyan, Arshavir Grigoryan, Aram Tzaturyan, and Abraham Aznauryan are studying in Yerevan School No 55 after A. Chekhov.

On November 24 the band celebrated the first anniversary of its establishment. In frames of the international contest the band will perform "Sweetie baby" song, which is a unique call on the girls to smile, as they are ready to do everything possible to see them smiling. The director of the video clip of the song is Hrant Movsisyan. The video clip has been shot in the fashion of the Beatles.

During its activity the band has already managed to give a number of concerts. The members of the group play and listen to rock music. Mainly they prefer to listen to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and The Beatles.

In accordance with the drawing of lots held in Amsterdam Compass band will be the 8th number. 12 countries will participate in the contest. Representatives from Belarus, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Russia, Israel, Albania, Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and the Netherlands will introduce their songs to the public. The contest will be held under the slogan "Let's Break the Ice."

The dye run of the international TV contest "Junior Eurovision 2012" will be held on November 30, as to the contest it will take place in Amsterdam on December 1.
