Armenia to have a military adviser in UN and Armed Forces representative in CSTO

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: Armenia's Ministry of Defense is scheduled to have a military adviser in UN and Armed Forces representative in CSTO. As Armenpress reports the creation of staff in these positions are included in Executive Body November 15 session.
According to the initiation the creation of stated staffs will enable a chance to launch productive and efficient military cooperation with above mentioned international organizations as well as stipulates coordination of works. Taking into consideration the fact that the international organizations decisions are made on consensus as well as issues refer to defense sphere require a professional approach, Armenian Armed Forces representatives' direct participation in the issues refer to Armenia in the frame of international organizations is becoming necessary.
In one hand the participation enables a chance to fully protect Armenia's position in defense sphere issues, in the other hand assures the launch of works at a high level of efficiency, as the experience show the best way of elaboration of documents is through direct meetings. It is expected it will contribute to the strengthening of confidence towards military and political cooperation process implemented by Armenian Ministry of Defense and will regulate tasks pertain to the organizing of Armenian armed forces representation works in UN Armenian representation and CSTO Armenian Permanent Representation.
