The explosion in the Armenian district of Jaramana caused casualties and damage of the Armenian community

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The explosion in the Armenian district of Jaramana on October 29 caused the death of Rana Salhab, the wife of the Armenian Mike Kalayjyan, who was a Christian Arab. Our compatriots from Damascus informed "Armenpress" about this.
In accordance with the information another woman named Rania also died. She also was a Christian Arab married to an Armenian man and was working in the Armenian school of Holy Translators.
We had information before that Anush Abovyan was immediately taken to the hospital and as her health fortunately was not seriously damaged and she has already been discharged from the hospital.
The Syrian SANA agency states that militants keep violating the ceasefire regime declared on the occasion of Ayd al Adha celebration. According to the preliminary information the explosion of the vehicle in the Jaramana district caused the death of 6 man and more than 50 people are wounded. More than 20 vehicles and more than 15 trade centres were damaged due to the explosion.
We have already learnt that majority of the casualties were Christian Arabs.
Clashes in Syria lasting for already 18 months caused the death of more than 30 thousand people, including more than four dozens Armenians.
