Evgeny Kissin to have a big concert on the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide at Carnegie Hall

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 22, ARMENPRESS: Renowned pianist Evgeny Kissin will present at Carnegie Hall of New York with a big concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. As reports Armenpress this was declared by Stepan Rostomyan, the founder and artistic director of "Yerevan Perspectives" International Music Festival, during the meeting with journalist on October 22.

condemnatory

position over Turkey” Stepan Rostomyan said.

Composer Stepan Rostomyan believes that hosting prominent musician from all over the world in the framework of different festival would be an important lever for our country. And there is such an example. “We saw the way Evgeny Kissin protested against Turkey, condemned the Genocide through his concert in Armenia,” noted Rostomyan.

The visit of prominent pianist Evgeny Kissin to Armenia was within the framework of 13th Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival. He gave a concert at Aram Khachaturian concert hall on September 27th and performed the works by classical composers, including Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn and Liszt.
