Victory of Compass Band in Junior Eurovision 2012 Armenian finals was unexpected for the group

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: At the Junior Eurovision 2012 International Song Contest Armenia will be presented by Compass Band. The group of 5 boys will present our country in the Song Contest in Amsterdam on December 1. The victory of the musical group in the Armenian finals by the results of the jury and SMS voting on September 30 was a real surprise for the boys. "The victory of the group in the finals was unexpected for the group", - was reported to Armenpress by the Team Producer Zara Petrosyan.

The Producer does not like making forecasts and states only one thing, that they should work and work hard. The establishment of the Compass band is the idea of Zara Petrosyan. "The boys are a real group, who like and play good music", - said the Producer. Aram, David, Abraham and Arshavir attend the Yerevan Secondary school N55 named after Chekhov. The youngest member of the group is 10-year-old Mika.

"It is very important for us that we are a team and we really did not expect to win in the finals", - said the guitarist of the group David Paronikyan.

"We dedicate the song to all the girls, so that they always smile", - stated the solo guitarist Aram Tsaturyan, adding half joke half serious that if there was not the support of their classmate girls, they would not have won in the finals. He said as well that the participation in the Junior Eurovision 2012 International Song Contest was a great responsibility for them and they would not spare efforts to present Armenia in the best way possible.

"The video of the group was one of the most viewed in youtube and that means that the interest towards it is big", - said the Eurovision Responsible Gohar Gasparyan. According to her, the Public Television and the Producer group of Compass band will carry out the necessary preparation works for the Contest.

Established on November 24 2011, Compass Band will perform Sweetie Baby song at the Contest, which is an appeal to all the girls to smile, as the boys are ready to do their best to make the girls smile. During its one-year activities the Compass Band performed numerous concerts. The members of the group listen to and play rock music. They prefer Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and The Beatles.
