YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS: Serbian capital Belgrade hosted reception dedicated to the 21st anniversary of Armenain independence. As information and public relations department of Armenian Foreign Affair Ministry told Armenpress, Serbian legislative and executive authorities, the heads of accredited diplomatic missions, representatives of non governmental organizations, science, culture and art as well as Armenian Community representatives attended the populios ceremony.Armenian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Serbia Gagik Ghalachyan and newly appointed Armenian Honorary Consul Predrag Tomich came with forth welcoming speech.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Serbia were established on 14 January, 1993. On 17th February 2011, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Ghalachian (residence in Athens) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Serbia Boris Tadic. On 27 July, 2009, Dragan Zupanjevac, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Athens), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. On 25 January 2007, Mr. Babken Simonyan was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Armenia.
