Armenian Genocide commemorated in Tehran

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grigor Hakobyan, and embassy staff attended a requiem service held on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The Embassy of Armenia in Iran said in a statement that the service was held at the Armenian Apostolic Saint Sarkis Cathedral in Tehran.

Participants also laid flowers at a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Genocide.

April 24, 2026, marks the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
