Double from Henrikh Mkhitaryan brought victory to Shakhtar Donetsk

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: Shakhtar Donetsk playing in the group E of the Champions League won the Dutch Nordsjaelland with the score of 2:0. As reported by Armenpress, the double of the member of the Armenian National Football team Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s made him the first Armenian football player, who scored a goal in the group round of the Champions League. Mkhitaryan managed to propel Shakhtar on the last minute of the first half and doubled the score on the 74th minute of the game.

After the game the midfielder gave an interview to the official website of the “pitmen”:

- Henrikh,congratulations onthewinandanotherbrace!Can youdescribe theepisodewhen you scored the second goal?

- I wanted to pass the ball to Devic. If it had reached him, he could have scored into an empty net. But it so happened that I didn’t make a very accurate pass, and the Nordsjaelland defender knocked the ball towards me, before I netted the second goal with one touch.

- It is a very good feeling when you score two goals in the first game. But the most important thing is to win. We will try to win in the following games as well.
