Cilicia Catholicosate to launch construction projects ahead of Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary

YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia initiates to launch numerous construction projects on the threshold of Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary set to be carried out by the assistance of His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia, National Central department and Board of Architects and Catholicosate.Armenian Genocide victims' memorial and its nearby area built still in Bikfa in 1965 are scheduled to be reconstructed under the guidance of His Holiness, Antelias told Armenpress. "Armenian Genocide map" is planned to be installed on the wall of the memorial. Altar is planned to be built next to memorial as well, Armenian history, Armenian Church and Genocide symbols samples are going to be attached along the path leading to memorial. Three benefactors have already expressed willingness to finance these projects. Antelias Nahatakats chapel built in 1938 is also scheduled to be renovated ahead of Armenian Genocide anniversary.Italian Armenian philantropists Aleko and Ani Pezikyans offsprings of Aram Pezikyan joined the initiative.
