Armenpress was informed from facebook account of Syrian Armenians that on August 27 was rather difficult day for Damascus: almost all roads leading to city were closed, there was incessant bombing and many houses were destroyed. It was quieter in districts of Aleppo at night. There were heard sounds of shootings but there are moments that they last very long and vise versa. The telephone connection operated for a week but at afternoon of August 27 was again lost. Internet does not operate too. Yesterday afternoon bombings were very close to Armenian populated districts which did not last long.

Earlier President of Syria Bashar al-Assad during the meeting with the head of committee of foreign affairs and security issues of Iran Allaeddin Borujerd had mentioned that Syria would do its best to protect the country.
