Minister of Agriculture visited Region Lori

Yerevan, August 18, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Minister of Agriculture implements a "Community Agricultural Resource Management and Competitiveness" program with the support of World Bank, one of the important components of which is the creation pasture and cattle management in the 6 regions of the republic: Aragatsotn, Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik.

As “Armenpress” was informed by the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture, 8 communities from region Lori are included in the program. The Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo KArapetyan met with the cooperative department members of Ahnidzopr, Atan, Dsegh, Shamut and Lorut and heads of communities. Deputy Governor of Lori Vanik Asatryan and the head of the GTSIG Gagik Khachatryan also participated in the meeting. The meeting was of advisory nature during which issues on cooperative activities, rights and obligations of its members, components of the management and development plans and other issues were discussed.

In the second half of the day the minister and his officials visited the communities Hartagyugh and Spitak implementing money grant programs.
