Armenian representative held second place in ‘’Junior New Wave’’

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS: Sona Gyulkhasyan representing Armenia in ‘’ Junior New Wave 2012" held the second place in the contest. Scoring maximum points in the course of two competition days , Sona yielded Ukrainian representative by one point.

In the briefing with Armenpress, Armenian delegation press secretry Mher Baghdasaryan informed from Crimea Sona was among the favorites of the competition. In the first day of the competition Sona performed Beyonce "Listen", the second day "Nostalgia" song from Ani Christy repertoire .

Next representative in the contest Arina Malkhasyan though did not hold higher positions, had come forth well. She sang Komitas in the first day of the competition and Chocolade song for the next day.

Number 5 "Junior New Wave" jury staff was headed by People’s Artist of Russia and Ukraine Igor Krutoi.

The competition is being launched from August 15-17. 16 participants from 12 countries are taking part in the competition.

Armenian delegation is set to arrive Armenia on August 18 evening.
