Herman Van Rompuy highlighted the role of civil society in NKR conflict resolution

YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS: Through EU political association and the implementation of great potential by Armenia the role of the civil society in NKR conflict resolution is great.

As Armenpress reports the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy came forth within the framework of the conference entitled “Armenia in Europe.

“The huge implementation of Armenian potential can be achieved only through the elimination of the conflict threat and former conflict consequences. In this case civil society has an important role to play” Rompuy concluded .

In the words of the high ranking official without the regulation of the conflict the involvement of civil society may be failed and jeopardize the region's long-term stability.Civil society has vital importance both in the processes of reforms and peace talks.
