YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESSS: On the Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking International Day a concert will kick off in Charles Aznavour Square by ‘’Dorians rock concert group’’ on July 26. The concert entitled "I want to live" is organized by the junctions of Armenia’s Youth Foundation.
‘’The concert is the result of cooperation with the Foundation’’ ‘’Dorians’’ rock group producer Vahagn Gevorgyan briefed Armenpress reporter. Previously the group partook at the events dedicated to the tobacco control. The interlocutor is convinced that rock music is strong enough to fight against these negative phenomena.
The group vocalist Gor Sujyan states ‘’ People are inclined to associate the rock with drugs, as it enables freedom, whereas in real it is just on the contrary ‘’.
"I want to live’’ event aims to inform youth about the devastating consequences of drugs. At the course of the party students of State Academy of Fine Arts after Panos Terlemezyan are scheduled to present their works to draw the public's attention to drug addiction, which continues to destroy lives , generate crime and threaten sustainable development.
After the event, students are set to present their paintings to different facilities.
June 26 is Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking International Day, established in 1987 by the UN General Assembly.
