Charles Aznavour met with Amenians of Shanghai

YEREVAN, JUNE 20, ARMENPRESS: An authoritative charitable gala concert was held in Shanghai June 18. Charles Aznavour was invited to China to participate in the concert, press service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Armenpress.

On the initiative of the Armenian Embassy in China, Charles Aznavour’s meeting with the Armenians of Shanghai was organized. Armenian Ambassador Armen Sargsyan presented about 20 Armenian young people who addressed various questions to the renowned compatriot.

The meeting passed in a very warm atmosphere: Charles Aznvour spoke of Armenia, issues related to preservation of the Armenian identity, attaching importance to the role of young people in consolidation and development of our country.

To remind, Charles Aznvour was appointed ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland, as well as Armenia's permanent delegate to the United Nations at Geneva in 2009.
