YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS: Charles Aznavour Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland had a meeting with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres.
Information and public relations department of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress, at the course of the meeting the high ranking officials envisaged the issues of cooperation and projects between UN high Commissioner Office and Armenia.
Ambassador Aznavour attached importance to the settlement of the housing problem of refugees displaced from Azerbaijani, raised at the donors’ conference with the participation of United Nations High Commissioner launched in 2011 Yerevan.
Aznavour underscored the necessity to contribute to the efforts of Armenian side to tackle the problem.Guterres stated that all the refugees around the world are at the center of attention of his Office. The top diplomat affirmed United Nations High Commissioner Office readiness aimed at the settlement of the issue of Armenian refugees and displaced people .
