The daily Hraparak writes that a wave of discontent is rising among the candidates nominated in the majority election of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). The paper says the thing is that according to the initial agreement irrespective of capacities of the candidate, Gagik Tsarukyan was going to provide financial assistance to his candidates. For instance, says the daily, in Massis Tsarukyan was expected to provide necessary means for candidates Tigran Stepanyan and Karo Karapetyan for them to establish campaign headquarters and start working. But, continues the daily, the majority candidates do nothing as of the moment, they are following how the RPA members are elaborating pre-electoral activity. The paper says it can be supposed that there are problems in the PAP, including financial, or the leader of the PAP does not hurry to elaborate activity as it is Hovik Abrahamyan’s province.
The daily Zhoghovurd writes its source claims that President Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan are periodically meeting each other. The paper says recently they mainly meet in Tsakhkadzor. According to the paper’s source the last meeting took place last Sunday, no other details have been clarified. Head of Kocharyan’s office Viktor Soghomonyan is not answering the phone calls and the letters to presidential residence remain unanswered, the paper says.
The daily Hraparak writes it has learnt from people close to General Manvel Grigoryan, Yerkrapah Volunteer Union Chairman that for announcing his support to President Serzh Sargsyan, Grigoryan will not only be included in the top ten in the proportional list of the Republican Party of Armenia and be elected MP but also receive a position in the parliament.
The paper writes General Manvel said he will be elected chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, which will enable him to fully dedicate himself to lawmaking.
