Republican Party of Armenia becomes member of EPP

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: Republican Party of Armenia, Rule of Law and Heritage parties became members of the European People's Party. Speaking with Armenpress from Brussels, Artak Zakaryan said a decision was made at the EPP congress and as a result of discussion three parties received status of observers which is the only available status for non-members of the EU.

"It means full participation in the political life of the EPP and is of great significance for Armenia. I think it will register new good opportunities in the political life of the country," Zakaryan said. He noted that he can't say for sure why the Prosperous Armenia Party did not become EPP's member as the discussion was closed.
