Parliament of Armenia to discuss issue on passing to the 100% proportional election system February 15

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 1, ARMENPRESS: The discussions over passing to the 100% proportional election system will take place at the National Assembly February 15, chairman of the NA's Standing Committee on State-Legal Affairs Davit Harutyunyan said at the sitting of the committee today.

He said he has recently received letter in this regard from NA chairman Samvel Nikoyan and from the parliamentary factions. The letter has been signed by Aram Safaryan from PAP, Artyusha Shahbazyan from ARF and Larisa Alaverdyan from Heritage.

"Our faction too has discussed the necessity of conducting hearings over the issue," Davit Harutyunyan said and informed that the NA chairman has not excluded his personal participation in the hearings.
