Amnesty releases 2490 people

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS:

As of December 16 about 2490 people were released from bearing punishment with the application of the amnesty declared May 26 by the RA National Assembly on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence. Citing the official web site of the Armenia's judicial system, Armenpress reports that criminal cases against 514 people have been suspended and the prosecution against them has been stopped. About 1976 people have been released.
