Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board Sheikh-ul-islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh cannot be considered a spiritual leader: he is a state figure. Head of the Assembly of Azerbaijani Armenians Grigori Ayvazyan told Armenpress November 29. According to him, Pashazadeh was one of the provocators of Baku’s pogroms. “If Pashazadeh was peace advocate he should have apologized for that pogroms and for the recent two deaths of Armenian soldiers. His visit is not sign of peace,” Ayvazyan said. He noted that the killed soldiers and broken lives do not testify the peace-loving goals of Azerbaijan. Peace must be established with the consent of two the countries, but in this case only Armenia has such wish. Pashazadeh’s visit to Armenia was a way to calm down the international community,” Ayvazyan expressed opinion. In his words the war rhetoric of Azerbaijan do not prove the strength of this country as this state has been built on the atmosphere of fear.
