The daily Hraparak writes that the resignation of the Armenian National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is somehow a success for the Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan as they were obviously fighting with each other. The paper though says that the success of Tigran Sargsyan would have been complete in case Samvel Nikoyan is elected as chairman of the parliament as the latter is considered representative of the premier’s team and was always opposing Hovik Abrahamyan. The paper says besides, Samvel Nikoyan’s son, Vardan Nikoyan, is the premier’s assistant.

The paper says a day before the resignation Russian press wrote that Karen Karapetyan would be appointed assistant to head of the “Gazprom” company’s Board of Directors Alexei Miller. The paper further writes that November 11 nothing was written on “Gazprom” web site about the appointment of Karapetyan. The phones of the company were not answering. The daily Zhoghovurd citing well-aware sources writes that the sitting of the RPA’s Spitak structure passed in a very tensed atmosphere. The paper says as a result 6-7 members have been eliminated from the party for “playing games” with other parties. Speaking to Zhoghovurd head of the RPA Spitak’s council Hovhannes Sahakyan confirmed the information but did not say why exactly the RPA members were dismissed. “It is a party discipline issue as a result of which the council made a decision to eliminate them. It once again shows that RPA is a living organism where we not only accept people but eliminate them as well,” the paper cited Sahakyan as saying. The paper says it appears that sunrises in RPA are not so peaceful.
