Arthur Javadyan says the experience of Armenia’s financial reconciler may successfully be applied in the CIS countries

About 70% of the 2000 examined cases have been satisfied by the office of financial ombudsman in favor of customer, chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Arthur Javadyan stated today at the "Institute of Financial Ombudsman directed toward Reinforcement of Public's Trust and Increase of Financial Mediation-2". Speaking to reporters today financial reconciler Piruz Sargsyan said the co-relation of satisfying and rejecting the cases is 60/40, in best case 50/50. According to her, during each year of activity the office has compensated 30 million AMD in favor of customers. "I think it is a good index," Sargsyan said.
Arthur Javadyan said during the short period of its activity this institution proved its viability and efficiency of its activity. "It is remarkable that the Armenian office is the only one among the CIS countries and have already gathered experience that may successfully be applied in each of these countries," chairman of the Central Bank said, noting that the incessant growth of complaints and the large amount of compensations that has currently reached 89 million AMD as well as the gradual increase of cooperation with financial organizations may testify it.
About 130 people from the CBs of the CIS countries, institutes of financial ombudsman are participating in the two-day conference.
