Arthur Baghdasaryan positively assesses military technical cooperation within the framework of CSTO

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, ARMENPRESS:

The regular sitting of the inter-agency commission coordinating the implementation of the events within the framework of the CSTO took place today in Yerevan chaired by the Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan. During the sitting the RA activity implemented within the framework of the CSTO during the past quarter was summed up. Arthur Baghdasaryan presented the more noticeable events within the framework of the CSTO. Referring to the non-official summit of heads of CSTO countries, Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that a number of important decisions have been made. He particularly singled out the changes in the CSTO regulation, according to which the military and political cooperation will become closer. "Secondly it was registered that special divisions of operative response consisting of 20 thousand members will be created within the framework of the CSTO. These divisions may be used in case of the dangers threatening the CSTO member-states", Baghdasaryan said, pointing out that the agencies included in the commission must actively work.

The third important thing, according to Baghdasaryan is the decision on creation of peacekeeping forces within the framework of the CSTO.

Arthur Baghdasaryan also positively assessed the cooperation of the CSTO member states in the military-technical sphere.
