Iskansaryan: Coalition and the ANC may come to consent

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS:

The future of the coalition-ANC relations has two variants: either the ANC continues conducting rallies once in a month or the format of the dialogue is being restored. But it is obvious that the rallies continue having their place in the agenda, director of the Caucasian institute Alexander Iskandaryan told a news conference today, assuring that there are prerequisites and mutual wish to return to the format of the dialogue but there are also a number of circumstances impeding it.

"One of the obstacles is the issue of the arrested ANC activist Tigran Arakelyan but if the parties want to continue the dialogue they must solve the issue. In any case the parties may reach consensus as they have political goals and wish", Iskandaryan said, pointing out that even the restoration of the format of the dialogue cannot serve as a guarantee for getting final solution.

"It is becoming more and more difficult for the ANC to maneuver in the political field as it is an accepted bright opposition and sitting and having dialogue with the authorities makes it difficult to preserve the character of the opposition", Iskandaryan said.
