Getting education in Armenia is available

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS:

Our compatriots living abroad prefer to get education in Armenia. The education of diaspora Armenians is being organized on all the educational levels.

In 2011 58 people entered the Yerevan State University, of which 52 bachelor's, 6 masters. Speaking to Armenpress head of the YSU diaspora department Alexander Virabyan said mainly young people from Georgia and Russia apply for studying in Armenia. This year 2 people applied from Syria, two from Belarus, three from the USA, one from Afghanistan, one from Abkhazia.

"The circumstance of studying in Armenia is agreed with the low tuition fees. It is quite expensive to get education in their countries, besides here we also have the issue of preservation of the Armenian identity", the head of the department said.

The tuition fee for foreign students is higher than for the citizens of Armenia.
