The dialogue between the Armenian leadership and Armenian National Congress must be continued, member of NA Armenian Republican Party Rafik Petrosyan told today a press conference, adding that the dialogue has a great significance for society, and the parties must be reasonable enough to continue it.
"The ANC's excuse for suspension of the dialogue is very artificial. That issue does not concern our country's political life, and cannot be a basis for suspension of the dialogue. It must be solved in the legal field," the parliamentarian noted. According to him, if an ANC activist has committed a criminal act, he must bear responsibility by law. If the leadership assists the latter, it will create a very risky precedent in our country" Mr. Petrosyan said. He noted that the dialogue does not have an alternative. "For elimination of negative phenomena in our country it must be continued and register results".
Member of Armenian National Movement Hovhannes Igityan said that there is no other model apart from dialogue from the viewpoint of registering a progress in Armenia. "Be it the ANC or other political force, the leadership must have a dialogue to give solution to the problems the society faces," Mr. Igityan said.
