YEREVAN, AUGUST 25, ARMENPRESS: On August 24 in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Catholicos of All-Armenians Karekin II received members of "Reveal Armenia" and "Armenia – a Country of Life" youth groups of Armenian General benevolent Union (AGBU). The young people arrived in the homeland from the United States, France, Belgium, Syria and other countries participate in different benevolent programs implemented in different provinces of Armenia.
Information service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin told Armenpress that expressing gratification on the meeting with the young people, His Holiness expressed delight that the AGBU unites Armenians from different countries in Armenia, in order they recognize their homeland, get acquainted with difficulties of their country, try to understand how and how much they can participate in construction of the country and its progress.
His Holiness, addressing the young people, particularly said, "It is especially the church that will open for you the world of our national-spiritual merits, as those merits, the spirit of our people, their dreams and hopes have been shaped under the roof of the church, with the blessing and guide of the church. It is not by chance that the sons and daughters of our nation are so tied with the church, as the church is the guarantee of their identity and existence, and you, too, must realize and be tied with the church, and keep strong the Armenian Apostolic Church by your prayers and belief in it," His Holiness said.
The Catholicos of All-Armenians advised the young people to visit the church more frequently and to be more involved in church life and be useful for all Armenian people through church life.
