Kiro Manoyan says Armenia not to agree to unclear formulation of NK status

YEREVAN, JULY 15, ARMENPRESS:

The Armenian authorities will never agree to any principles which will not clearly state issue of the status of Nagorno Karabakh, head of the ARF Armenian Cause and Political Affairs Office Kiro Manoyan told a news conference today. According to him, the policy adopted by Azerbaijan hinders reaching any positive result in the process.

"If taking into consideration the statements of the Azerbaijani president, we can state that there is no ground for optimism as it continues claiming that the right of Karabakh to self determination may be used within the borders of Azerbaijan and in no other way", Manoyan said. He noted if Azerbaijan does not change its approach, hardly any agreement will be reached over principles.

As to the possibility of war, in case of failure in talks, Manoyan said the possibility is quite small.
