The daily Azg writes yesterday the visit of the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad was expected. He was to arrive in Armenia on a two-day official visit to boost the relations between the two countries but as it was yesterday found out the visit was postponed for an uncertain period of time. The paper says according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry "the visit was postponed for having more time for the preparation of documents to be signed during the visit. The visit of the Iranian president will take place later, at the convenient time".

The daily Aravot writes that Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov speaking to reporters in Washington stated that the Karabakh conflict settlement process has intensified and now works are being carried out for agreeing over the basic principles of the conflict settlement. "Though the agreeing over the main principles does not mean achieving peace treaty. We must not let the work over forming the peace treaty after agreeing over principles take other 70 years. If the basic principles are accepted in the coming 6-12 months the work over the treaty", the paper cited him as saying. The Azerbaijani foreign minister reported that the position of US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton is the soonest finalization of the works on the basic principles. "I fully agree with it. We already know the principles with which we will move. Let's call it a roadmap. The work over treaty must start as soon as possible".

The daily Capital writes that the Armenian-Iranian three energy projects costing more than $600 million and which will be implemented on the account of Iranian means are not being brought to life. The paper says in late May it was stated that during the coming two weeks the construction of the third Armenian-Iranian electricity wire would launched, though the foundation of the project was put in October 2010. The paper says in April this year the construction of "Meghri" hydro-power plant would have been launched. The paper says the fate of Tabriz-Yeraskh oil products transferring pipeline is also uncertain.
