About 100 museum employees to be trained

YEREVAN, JUNE 6, ARMENPRESS:

Training classes will be conducted for the employees of the museums during the running year. The works are being conducted within the framework of the "Preparation of Staff in the sphere of Culture and Re-qualification Complex" program.

Speaking to Armenpress head of the Culture Ministry's Cultural Heritage and People's Crafts Department Nora Dayan said it is expected to include in the classes about 100 employees of Yerevan and provinces' museums.

The topics of classes will differ – preservation of museum samples, registration, museum marketing, etc. Nora Dayan said before the classes, works will be carried out with the museums and viewing the existing flaws the topics of classes will be formed. This year few painting restorers from Armenia will be trained in Russia.

Last year museum training classes were conducted as well. Overall 110 museum officials were trained in Kazan, Minsk and Warsaw.

About 60 museums are operating under the subordination of the ministry, and overall we have 110.
