Mobile Communication Availability in RA 100%

The mobile communication availability in the Republic of Armenia is 100%, the number of fixed telephony users and internet users increased, the tariffs decreased, RA Transport and Communication Minister Manuk Vardanyan said at the 44th session of the heads of Communication Administrations of Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication (RCC), which was held June 1 in Yerevan.

Igor Schogolev, minister of telecommunications of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Panteley, minister of communication and information of the Republic of Belarus, and others partake in the session.

Manuk Vardanyan emphasized the organization of the session and said RCC is well-known in the international arena. "Telecommunication has a great significance for the development of economy. The Republic of Armenia Government emphasizes the development of the sphere and implements a variety of programs for the promotion to its strengthening," the minister said.

Igor Schogolev said there are common worrying issues, which have been discused during the meeting with the prime minister. He mentioned during the news conference, held after the session, that issues on the development of postal communication and the cooperation in that sphere were discussed.

As to the recognition of electronic signatures in various states, he said it is indispensable for electronic trade, various electronic services.
