Eduard Sharmazanov: President showed he is political figure having humanitarian values

The 2011 spring may be described as hot but constructive, spokesman for the Armenian Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov said at a news conference today, referring to the political developments in recent period.

Speaking about amnesty he pointed out that with that step President Sargsyan showed that he is a political figure having humanitarian values, state-oriented who is for the stable development of the country. "The history showed that states going in that direction register success", Sharmazanov said, pointing out that the president suggests new political agenda, the main goal of which is that the rights of individual are as important as the collective interests of the nation.

"Currently the reforms taking place in Armenia have received wide international response and positive assessment by our American and European partners", the spokesman said.

Referring to the coming parliamentary elections and the separate participation of Prosperous Armenia Party Sharmazanov said that it is the issue of each political force and the Republican party treats it normally.
