The daily Hayastani Hanrapetutyun writes that former OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Matthew Bryza at news conference yesterday in Baku referred to the current situation over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. "For reaching the current phase in the NK conflict settlement years would have been needed", the paper cited him as saying. The paper says the former co-chair also stated that during the recent years the presidents, foreign ministers and the co-chairs tried to prepare suggestions acceptable for the parties. The paper says according to him, "while preparing the suggestions the territorial integrity and self-determination of people were taken into consideration".

The daily Aravot writes that former chairman of the National Assembly and now freelance parliamentarian Tigran Torosyan referring to the possibility of extraordinary elections said there are no constitutionally registered grounds for them and even in case of biggest wish they will not be for several months. The paper says according to him it is obvious that the issue here is not the goals of inner political reconciliation or improvement of the atmosphere but the caprices guided by which "no one ever managed to solve the issue of political reconciliation", the paper cited him as saying.

The daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that with the majority of votes (196 against, 74 for) the French Senate rejected a bill penalizing the denial of Armenian Genocide. The paper says the Senate considered its adoption not expedient.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that according to the studies published yesterday by the Transparency International non-governmental organization the most corrupted spheres in Armenia in 2010 were the judicial system and the police. The paper says the studies were conducted within the framework the European Neighborhood Program in the three South Caucasian countries to find out the process of implementation of commitments on fighting against corruption.

The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes that chief of the Armenian police Alik Sargsyan shrugged off yesterday the information about his confrontation with the chief of the Yerevan police Nerses Nazaryan. "Must we hug each other, or what must we do to prove everything is ok?" Alik Sargsyan said. The paper explains that according to press, Nerses Nazaryan is seeking to become chief of the RA police which caused serious confrontation between the two top police officials.
