Swedish parliamentarians say Turkey must admit the crime it committed

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS: “It is quite important that the parliament of Sweden officially recognized in 2010 the fact of the Armenian Genocide”, member of the Swedish Reichstag Annelie Enochson told the reporters today in Tsitsernakaberd, adding that in general the whole world, including the USA, must admit the reality and recognize what happened in 1915 as a crime against humanity – genocide.

Another Swedish parliamentarian Fredric Malmy said Turkey has no other way than to admit the crime it has committed. “Of course it is less possible in the near future but in future after many states will adopt the fact of the Armenian Genocide, Turkey will have to do it too”, he said.

These two parliamentarians had great contribution to the recognition and adoption of Armenian Genocide at the Swedish parliament last year.
