Turkologist: Every year on the eve of April 24 the Turks are in nightmare

YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS: Every year on the eve of April 24 the Turks appear in nightmare, Turkologist Hakob Chakryan said, adding that in the same period in the Armenian environment concerns wake up whether the US President will say the word “Genocide” or not. “I think our response must be more restrained as the essential thing is not only the uttering of the word but the step following it”, the Turkologist said. According to him, logic says that Barack Obama will utter the word “Genocide” but the interests of big powers very often dominate over the historic truth.

Political analyst Levon Shirinyan said this year the symbolizing thing is that April 24 Barack Obama will be in Los Angeles. Shirinyan said that the time has come to make changes in the strategy of recognition of the Armenian Genocide. “A legitimate body must be created outside of Armenia which will coordinate the process”, the analyst said.
