Analyst says mutual accusations aimed at increasing electorate

YEREVAN, APRIL 13, ARMENPRESS: The disputes and mutual accusations between the different wings of the opposition are natural. Their goal is to preserve or increase the electorate on the threshold of coming elections, political analyst Alexander Markarov said at a joint news conference with expert from ACNIS Edgar Vardanyan.

Speaking about the ANC-Heritage fight, Markarov said taking into consideration the recent events it may be supposed that the ANC has wider electorate than the Heritage. The analyst said the latter is trying to preserve the places in the parliament and the ANC is trying to overcome the border for appearing in parliament.

“It is necessary to find out whether all the oppositional forces can form one general agenda. In case of having one agenda it does not matter whether these forces will unite or come forth separately,” Edgar Vardanyan said.
