YEREVAN, APRIL 8, ARMENPRESS: It is obvious that the Azerbaijani authorities are ignoring the calls of the mediating countries to withdraw snipers from the line of contact, military expert Davit Jamalyan said today adding that this fact does not need proofs.
Speaking about the show-off initiative on preparing snipers, Jamalyan said through it the official Baku reiterates its intention to actively use snipers. “In this case an attempt is being made to give non-official nature to it, presenting it as public initiative,” he noted.
The military expert said Azerbaijan will continue using snipers against the Armenian side. He also said there are special anti-sniper divisions at the Artsakh’s defense army which means that many of the Azerbaijani snipers will “be included in the statistics of losses in the Azerbaijani army”.
