Naira Zohrabyan: “In the Person of Mevlut Chavushoglu, the Armenian Side Deals with One, who is engaged in the Azerbaijan Lobby”

YEREVAN, APRIL 7, ARMENPRESS: In the person of Mevlut Chavushoglu, the Armenian side deals with one, who is engaged in the Azerbaijani lobby, and not with the president of PACE, according to Naira Zohrabyan, chairman of the National Assembly standing committee on European Integration, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE.

Commenting on Chavushoglu’s statement about “occupation” of Azerbaijani territories, Naira Zohrabyan said: “In the past Chavushoglu described such statements as personal, however after assuming the office of the PACE president, he pledged to restrain from his biased stance, though he does not keep the pledge. This does not promote the spread of the PACE fundamental values either. Chavushoglu must treat his office with great sense of responsibility and promote the settlement of issues, and not make one-sided statements and go on one-sided activity”.

Naira Zohrabyan says Chavushoglu’s statements once again prove that the PACE subcommittee on the NK issue cannot be fair. “The figure, engaged in Turkish-Azerbaijani lobby as PACE president, has a goal, directed to anti-Armenian activity. The subcommittee has been re-establishment within the framework of this,” Naira Zohrabyan said.
