Armenian Community of France to Conduct Rally on Anniversary of Armenian Genocide

PARIS, MARCH 15, ARMENPRESS: France’s Armenian community will conduct April 24 an annual rally on the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Hrach Varjapetyan, director of the ARF Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) office, told Armenpress’s reporter in Paris that during the rally, in which over 25 000 Armenians partake every year, the participants will march from the Komitas monument to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, where Turkey’s embassy to France is located.

Hrach Varjapetyan said such demonstration will be held in other major French cities – Marseille, Lyon, Valencia. He says the coordination of activities on the Genocide between Armenia and Diaspora is being improved gradually. The Hay Dat offices all over the world prepare events on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
