Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta hands his credentials

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, ARMENPRESS: Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Armenia Jean-Michel Oughourlian handed today his credentials to the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

President’s press office told Armenpress that the president congratulated the ambassador on assuming the office and wished him success.

Jean-Michel Oughourlian noted that being the only knight of the Armenian decent of the Sovereign Order of Malta it is a great honor for him to assume this office and continue and develop Malta’s programs in Armenia.

“It is remarkable that person of Armenian decent is being appointed on such high office. I am sure that your being an Armenia will facilitate more your activity in Armenia. I am convinced that with your active work you will highly contribute to the increase of the level of awareness of our people about Sovereign Order of Malta,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
