Seyran Ohanyan: ‘We Must Bring up Soldiers, Who Will Not be Afraid of War’

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 16, ARMENPRESS: ‘We must bring up soldiers, who will not be afraid of war,’ RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said today at a meeting with representatives of the spheres of education and culture. He added that the issue of upbringing is the basis of all the issues of the army. ‘The martial spirit rises up through the synthesis of theoretical and practical abilities,’ the minister said. He added that the Armenian army is a strong establishment.

As to the issues of the army, the minister mentioned about the upbringing of not only private soldiers, but also military officials. ‘The next important issue is the health of servicemen and it is connected with upbringing as well. It is important in the context of elimination of self-injury cases among recruits,’ the minister noted. He added that it is quite important to keep security rules in the army. ‘A part of our army deals with the enemy every day, so keeping security rules becomes indispensable,’ Minister Seyran Ohanyan said.
