YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 8, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian delegation to PACE must boycott the works of the NK sub-committee. Member of the ARF Supreme body Armen Rustamyan said at a news conference today that not participating in the works of the sub-committee must be clearly grounded in an official letter.
“There are few reasons for not participating. The first is that the Council of Europe must not impede the process taking place within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Rustamyan said.
The second reason he said is that Armenia is not replacing the NKR when the discussed issues are of vital significance for the latter. “In this case the authorities belong only to the NKR,” Rustamyan pointed out.
He said PACE Chairman Mevlut Cavushoglu clearly showed its interest in resuming the works of the sub-committee. According to Rustamyan, the Armenian delegation to PACE must undertake steps to present arguments from different chairs of the Council of Europe. “Here I see a good fighting arena: we must work and tear the face of Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem,” Rustamyan said.
