YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 7, ARMENPRESS: Turkey’s policy of denial is condemned, Turkologist Ruben Melkonyan said today in an interview with Armenpress. Commenting on today’s report by the Turkish ‘Sabah’ daily, the Turkologist said Turkey endeavors to overcome ‘the psychological impediments, formed in the course of history with Armenia’. ‘We should remember Sabah’s report on road maps, in which a number of mistakes were available.
‘Sabah’ is famous for its information traps,’ the Turkologist said. He added that there are serious suspicions about the validity of such reports. He said it is quite possible that Turkey gets ready for April 24 with such reports. ‘Every year the Turkish state machine faces difficulties, connected with April 24: the Turkish diplomacy makes concessions, attempting to hinder the adoption of documents on recognition of the Armenian Genocide by parliaments of various states,’ Ruben Melkonyan said. He added that Turkey currently endeavors to find such ways.
