YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Revolutionary Federation stands up for formation of a two-chamber parliament, Hrayr Karapetyan, chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Home Affairs, said at today’s press conference referring to the statement of Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, according to which a two-chamber parliament is possible to set up, in the upper class of which the Diaspora-Armenians will be presented. He also noted that Diaspora will be actively involved in solution of all-Armenian issues.
“We should unite the efforts for the good of Armenia. In that regard we welcome the idea of setting up a two-chamber parliament,” Mr. Karapetyan said. According to him, this initiative wills serve for strengthening of unification of the nation, joining of all-Armenian forces. “There are numerous mechanisms of bringing the idea to life, over which discussions and hearings will be extended,” the representative of the ARF said, expressing pain for the opinions against establishment of two-chamber parliament.
