Specialists qualify behavior of Turk hackers as simple-mindedness

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 3, ARMENPRESS: Thanks to “1923 Turks” hacker group the Armenian party obtained nearly 6000 friends, specialist in information security Tigran Kocharyan, and security specialist of “Smart-Tech” company Ruben Muradyan said today at a meeting with journalists, qualifying the behavior of Turkish hackers as simple-mindedness.

To remind, thousands of foreign websites have been hacked by the “1923 Turks”, in which texts denying the Armenian genocide have been placed.

“There is no evil without good. Let’s imagine a foreigner finds his/her website hacked and updated with information on Armenian Genocide by Turks. Psychologically that person will immediately become our partner. Now we can say that we have nearly 6000 friends, with whom we can work placing our information in their sites, and cooperating with them,” Tigran Kocharyan said, adding that the hacking of the website in peaceful conditions is at least simple-mindedness. Security Deputy Director of “Smart-Tech” company Ruben Muradyan agreed that the statement spread by the Turkish hackers will work for the good of Armenians more.

“In the modern history it is the first time we deal with such a case. Before that, when large-scale websites were hacked, it was done by Azerbaijani hackers and we could not say there was a formed team, which assumed the responsibility of hacking websites,” Mr. Muradyan said, adding that hacking by Azerbaijani hackers has a periodical nature. According to him, the Azerbaijani and Turkish hackers mainly get activated on the eve of April 24, in January and February.

According to the information placed in the website of “1923 Turks”, 96 thousand websites have been hacked by them on the whole. Ruben Muradyan also said that the information on hacking of 6157 websites is possible to be exaggerated. “I doubt that number corresponds to reality, as I myself have not counted how many websites have been hacked. besides that, it is not clear with which principle the hackers have chosen those websites,” he illustrated.
