YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 3, ARMENPRESS: There are no issues between Armenia’s Republican and “Prosperous Armenia” parties, member of the Republican party’s parliamentary faction Lernik Alexanyan said commenting on the news circulating in press. He said the news that the Prosperous Armenia party will leave the coalition does not correspond to reality as there are no grounds for it. According to him, somehow or other the coalition will continue its activity till the parliamentary elections and during this period it must work to justify the trust of electors. “During the recent period there is certain activation in the political field connected with the pre-electoral processes,” Alexanyan said.
Recently, Armenia’s progressive and youth parties have joined the Prosperous Armenia party. Lernik Alexanyan said he is not against the expansion of parties as an end in itself. “The extension of the party must be based on ideology, joint programs. I would not like the Republican party to gather such forces that do not share our ideology,” the parliamentarian said, pointing out that today they do not wish to expand the party.
In general, Lernik Alexanyan treats negatively the formation of new parties. “They at least must have ideology, principles and today there are many parties in our country that are called to implement short-term issues for the implementation of pre-electoral technology,” he said.
The parliamentarian called on al the forces to unite and work for the sake of solution of the problems of our country not blaming only authorities.
