Serzh Sargsyan raised Armenia’s diplomatic image

YEREVAN, JANUARY 21, ARMENPRESS: Thanks to the initiative policy of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan Armenia’s diplomatic image has risen, deputy president of the “National Unity” party Gagik Tadevosyan said at a press conference today.

“Turks have appeared today in a senseless situation. Turkey has not respected the signature it put under the protocols directed toward normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. It forwarded Karabakh issue and the international community has clearly stated that these two issues are so complicated that they cannot be viewed on one platform,” Tadevosyan said. He noted that in near future as well the Armenian-Turkish relations will remain frozen.

Speaking about the process of Karabakh conflict settlement Tadevosyan said that the preservation of the current status of Nagorno Karabakh is very important.

“A few very important things happened in the world, particularly the independence of Kosovo, South Sudan which may be precedents for the Nagorno Karabakh. If South Sudan must only now become a state, Nagorno Karabakh is already a consolidated state,” he noted.
