YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, ARMENPRESS: Turkey’s discrimination of not only Kurds but other ethnic minorities continues. The latter do not have the same rights as Turks which contradicts to Turkey’s wish and statements to enter the EU. “The situation in Armenia is quite another: no discrimination of ethnic minorities has been registered,” head of the Armenia’s Kurdish community’s council Knyaz Hasanov said speaking to Armenpress. “I was born in Armenia and I grew here and have never felt any discrimination. Of course there are domestic talks but we have always been treated well here,” he said adding that there are Kurdish-populated villages in Armenia where Kurdish schools are operating.
