YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS: In 2011 we must do our best in order Nagorno Karabakh becomes a negotiating party, member of the NA Armenian Republican Party faction Hamlet Harutyunyan said today at a meeting with journalists, adding that the Armenian President and Foreign Affairs Ministry exert all the possible efforts in that direction. “I think that certain shifts have been registered this year in the direction of regulation of the NK conflict.

The most notable of them was the OSCE summit in Astana,” the parliamentarian said, noting that after the summit in Astana the border incidents at Karabakhi-Azerbaijani contact line have considerably decreased. He also referred to Armenian President’s speech delivered in Astana, stressing that it has had a big influence on international community.

“It was also a call of soberness for Azerbaijani and Ilham Aliyev personally, whose war rhetoric has been notably smoothened after Astana,” Mr. Harutyunyan pointed out. “Even small success in the issue of Artsakh is a great achievement for Armenia,” Hamlet Harutyunyan said.
